Baseline Investigation Contract

The Baseline Investigation Contract formalizes the questions Argus should always try to answer.

Why it exists

Historically, the platform could find useful evidence while still producing thin or generic final reports. The contract fixes that by forcing every case through an answer-oriented audit.

Core answer statuses

  • answered
  • partial
  • unanswered
  • not_applicable

Baseline question families

  • subject identity
  • existence and registration
  • claimed identifiers
  • address and location ownership
  • website or domain connection
  • sanctions and PEP exposure
  • adverse media or litigation posture
  • associated parties and ecosystem
  • bank and contact consistency
  • unresolved contradictions and follow-up needs

Operational effect

The contract feeds:

  • answer coverage artifacts
  • verification requirement generation
  • report section expectations
  • quality checks for missing coverage
